Preventable medical errors are the 3rd leading cause of death in the United States behind heart disease and cancer. We were joined by Dana Hutson, Community Educator for CampaignZERO & Board Certified Private Patient Advocate who shared her insights on how to tackle the challenge of handling hospital care.
During her presentation, she covered:
- Identifying the most common hospital hazards and how to prevent them.
- When and how to speak up when you are concerned about a loved one’s care.
- Obtaining new skills and new confidence to be effective advocates for loved ones in the hospital.
CampaignZero wants to “zero out” the risk of accidental hospital harm or death. You can learn more about them at www.campaignzero.org
